Junction Woolworths

Specialised Concrete Products (SCP) is proud to have contributed to the delivery of the Junction Development Woolworths Supermarket, completed on behalf of Gibbons Naylor and Gibbons Properties. The project required a combination of high-quality architectural finishes and structural precast solutions to support both the visual and functional requirements of a major retail development.

SCP was engaged to manufacture a wide range of precast and prestressed concrete elements, delivering an integrated solution that supported efficient construction and a high-quality finished asset.

For the Junction Development Woolworths Supermarket, SCP manufactured and supplied:

• 74 precast concrete panels, incorporating a combination of exposed black architectural finishes and fluted panel profiles, contributing to the distinctive visual identity of the building
• 307 m² of prestressed concrete flooring, providing structural efficiency and long-span capability within the supermarket footprint
• Precast retaining panels, engineered to support the building structure and manage level changes across the site
• A prestressed pedestrian walking bridge, forming a key connection and completing the overall development

All precast and prestressed elements were manufactured under controlled factory conditions, ensuring consistent quality, durability, and accuracy across both architectural and structural components.

Integrated Transport and Cranage

SCP, in collaboration with its sister company, provided a fully integrated delivery solution for the project. This included:

• Transportation of all precast and prestressed concrete elements to site
• Cranage and lifting operations, coordinated to support safe installation and maintain programme efficiency

By managing transport and cranage in-house, SCP reduced site interfaces and supported a smooth installation process for the main contractor.
